On the Corporate Social Responsibility front, International Energy Insurance Plc has been an active executor of many social investment initiatives. IEI has continued to make positive contributions to various sectors of the Nigerian society and economy. The energy sector being its business focus, the Company noted the allegations of environmental and health hazards posed to the host communities by the operations of its core clients. In counterpoint to this negative perception of players in the energy sector, IEI Plc has focused its social investment drive towards supporting and encouraging healthy lifestyles and a healthy environment for its communities. Accordingly, International Energy Insurance Plc has worked with its partner NGOs, to fight desert encroachment, to increase public awareness on the environment as a stakeholder and on the need to manage natural resources responsibly, so as to leave eco-capital to future generations. IEI has also supported healthcare. IEI Plc has also undertaken much in sports sponsorship including special athletes. In the education sector, International Energy Insurance has made endowments in institutions of higher learning and continues to fulfil its commitment to invest in education, right from the primary school level.
